Our approach
Authority first.
Retail second.
Anyone can sell you a cabinet lock. Guardian Nest exists to tell you which ones your home actually needs — and to make sure you know why.
What we believe
The Guardian Nest Framework™ — how every family stays ready.
Four promises we make every family: Assess, Protect, Prepare, Educate.
See the home as it is
Before recommending anything, we look. Every plan starts with your actual home, routines, and children — not a checklist sold off a shelf.
Recommend only what matters
Most homes need a handful of changes, not a catalog. We rank each fix by priority and explain why it matters for your family.
Teach, don’t just install
A lock only works if the habit does too. Every product and plan comes with plain-language training for the people who live there.
Stay close afterwards
Children grow and homes change. We’re the number your family keeps — for the next age, the next move, the next question.

Protection should feel like peace of mind — not a lecture.
A calm, honest walkthrough beats a scary one
Fear motivates for a weekend; understanding lasts. Our assessments are warm and judgment-free, and they end with a plan you actually feel good about following.
Every family is different — so is every home
A newborn, a climber, and a curious ten-year-old need different homes. We tailor everything — the assessment, the products, the classes — to the people living there.
We only put our name on what we’d use ourselves
Most safety products are fine; a few are useless. Ours survive our own review criteria and our own kitchen counters.
Practiced skills beat purchased things
Knowing what to do in the first three minutes is more protective than any gadget. That’s why education is the heart of everything we build.
One family-safety system
Guardian Nest isn’t one service. It’s the whole system.
The assessment, the plan, the products, the education, and the ongoing support are one connected journey — surrounded by the framework that holds it together.

Who we serve
Every stage of family life.
Guardian Nest grows with your family. From an expecting couple to a busy multigenerational household, the Family Protection Plan™ changes as your family does.

Expecting Parents
The newborn pass — nursery, sleep, car seat, and the first-year basics, before the baby arrives.

Families with Babies & Young Children
The climbing stage: anchoring, gates, cords, outlets, and cabinet locks, room by room.

Families with School-Age Children
Growing independence with guardrails — bikes, kitchens, afternoons home alone.

Grandparents
Fall-prevention, medication storage, and a home that welcomes visiting grandchildren safely.

Caregivers
Handoff plans, emergency contacts, and training for every person who helps care for your family.

Multigenerational Households
One home, many stages of life — a single plan that keeps every generation safe together.
Families with Specialized Safety Needs
Sensory, mobility, and medical considerations, matched to how your family actually lives.
Families Navigating Changing Life Circumstances
New homes, new moves, new chapters — safety guidance that keeps up with real life.
Guardian Nest grows with your family.
Safety through life
Safety follows your life, not a shelf.
Families think in moments — a new baby, a new home, a grandchild’s first visit, a parent moving in. Each of these paths turns a life change into a calm, practical Family Protection Plan™.
Family Emergency Planning
The plan, the kit, and a practiced drill, done once and kept current.

Our vision.
We are building Guardian Nest one family at a time, with a long-term vision of extending practical family-safety education into communities, schools, military families, healthcare partnerships, nonprofits, workplaces, and public-safety organizations.
7 directions we’re building toward
These are aspirations — the directions we’re building toward, not partnerships that exist yet. We’re building toward something considerably larger, one family at a time, starting with yours.

Founder · Guardian Nest
“Protecting families is personal. It always has been.”
The founder’s story
A father’s promise. A family’s mission.
Guardian Nest began with a promise born from profound personal loss.
After the loss of my daughter, Alexis, I made a promise: to help protect other families from preventable tragedies. I knew that no parent should have to look back and wonder whether greater knowledge, preparation, or the right safety resources might have changed an outcome.
That promise became Guardian Nest.
I created Guardian Nest with a simple but powerful belief: protecting a family requires more than buying safety products. Families need knowledge, preparation, practical tools, trusted guidance, and support that help them recognize risks before those risks become tragedies.
That is why Guardian Nest is being built as more than a childproofing company. Our purpose is to help families create safer homes, stronger families, and brighter futures, bringing home safety, childproofing, emergency preparedness, education, and trusted family-safety resources together under one organization.
My personal loss will always be part of why Guardian Nest exists. But Guardian Nest is not a story about loss.
It is a story about what we choose to do because of it.
It is about turning grief into purpose, experience into education, and a father’s promise to his daughter into a mission capable of protecting families far beyond my own.
The vision
My vision is for Guardian Nest to become the Nation’s Most Trusted Family Safety Organization, a place parents and caregivers can turn to with confidence when they need help protecting the people who matter most.
